Amaya Bullock holds a Master of Arts in Exhibition Design, GWU Corcoran School of the Arts & Design and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Studies from the Tyler School of Art at  Temple University, where she explored a range of multidisciplinary practices, including printmaking, photography, bookbinding, and painting. Exploring beyond her fine arts background,  Amaya was inspired by the design adage: “form meets function.” Specifically, form meets performance.

In what way can the form of an object inform the ways the user engages with it? How can designers create ephemeral moments that have a lasting impact on the site or the visitor? Why is it important that these moments are visually pleasing and practical? Amaya tries to address these questions through her practice by creating experiences that encourage the visitor to become part of the performance qualities of the exhibition itself.
